Patricia Ackor, Artist Waterlilies I ![]() When I had my weaving studio in Washington, D.C., in the 1970s, a client asked me if I could weave one of Claude Monet's waterlilies. I had to tell her I had no idea but I was happy to try. The design, above, was the result and the client was very happy (she still has the piece). In the late 1990s, when I knew I would be exhibiting my weavings in San Francisco, I decided it was time to re-visit the original design, and this image is the result. The colors are slightly different from the original, as fibers and colors had changed, but the overall impression is much the same and I hope Monsieur Monet would not be displeased. Size: 48"W x 36"H x 1.5"D $3,500 tapestry-wrapped edges FOR A CLOSE-UP DETAIL OF THIS PIECE, PLEASE CLICK HERE
